Finnish settlement to Ontario, especially to northern Ontario, exploded 100 years ago. They brought their culture with them and have been keeping it strong ever since – including in such places as Thunder Bay’s Finnish quarter.
The Finnish Labour Temple has hosted the famous Hoito Restaurant and incredible numbers of cultural groups and activities over the years, including the Finlandia Club theatre troupe.
