We’ll be at the 2019 CRKN Access to Knowledge Conference for the rest of this week!The conference features an entire day of sessions and discussions around preserving and providing access to digital heritage materials.
Join us for a full day of programming that investigates how stakeholders are working to meet digitization, access, and preservation goals for heritage content. Our lineup includes sessions on digitization strategies, rights and permissions for heritage content, sharing digital heritage through technology, decolonizing metadata, and more. Our keynote address will be delivered by Leslie Weir, the new Librarian and Archivist of Canada.

Joint NHDS & CRKN Session on Digitization Strategies in Canada (9:15 to 10:30 a.m.)
Bringing together experts from the international, national, regional and local levels, this session will explore the current landscape of digitization work in Canada. Participants will gain a wide-ranging overview of how different organizations approach their projects, explore what gaps need to be filled, and discuss how to coordinate to achieve best results. Though this discussion, panelists and participants will be invited to consider the way in which we can strengthen Canada’s digitization capacity, and brainstorm ways to make the most of our existing capacity.
