The deadline for Young Canada Works summer jobs in heritage is January 15th; the deadline for internships is March 1st.
If you’re applying for an archival job, or a library job in English, you’ll be applying to The Canadian Council of Archives.
All applications must be prepared online. Your institution should consider keeping paper copies of the application and reports for your file.
Please download and read the 2019 Employer Guide prior to completing your application since changes have been made to the guidelines.
Government priorities
Please note that the application assessment process will take into account the following priorities: Indigenous organizations, youth, and cultural heritage (First Nations, Inuit or Metis), including applications:
from indigenous employers (all eligible projects);
for a project aimed at indigenous participants (indigenous or non-indigenous employer);
for a project focusing on indigenous cultural heritage (indigenous or a non-indigenous employer).
We’re happy to help you plan or articulate your project around digitization, digital collections, virtual exhibits, or any other aspect of what we do. Get in touch!
