After we released our report on Creative Commons, Rights Statements, and traditional knowledge labels for digital cultural heritage, our practicum student Mark Fellin was invited to present on that information in front of the Ontario Government Libraries Council.

As we work towards offering an expanded suite of copyright licenses and labels in VITA, including RightsStatements labels, we’re so pleased that more libraries are expressing interest in ways of sharing and presenting traditional knowledge content.

A few days later, we had a fantastic experience at the Creative Commons Global Summit, presenting on the needs and potential of our member organizations in the realm of opening up cultural heritage materials.
